Meet Kelci Bryant, an American diver who competed in the Beijing Olympics for the first time in the synchronized 3-meter springboard event. See photos, video and her biography here.
Kelci was teamed up with fellow American diver Ariel Rittenhouse and they had to settle with just the fourth place in the event.
“We’re disappointed, but we’re young,” said Bryant. “This our first time at the Olympics. We could have done better, but we’ll come back in 2012.
As a biography, Kelci Bryant was born on January 15, 1989 in Springfield, Ill. so her age is 19. She attended the Keystone National High School and has been a member of the national team for the past three years.
Kelci has four siblings, all of whom are athletes including her sister Katie Beth who is a five-time national champion in diving. Her favorite dive is a 205B.
She has been a two-time FINA Diving World Cup bronze medalist and 2007 Pan American silver medalist in the three-meter synchro event.
