Chellsie Memmel is another member of the 2008 US Olympic Gymnastics Team. See photos, video and a biography of Chellsie below.

Chellsie Memmel placed 3rd in All-Around at the Olympic Trials in July of 2008. Her strengths are the bars, where she placed second in the US Championships in 2005 and the All-Around category, where she was a World Champion.

Chellsie Memmel was born on June 23, 1988. She comes from a family of gymnasts, as both of her parents were award winning collegiate gymnasts. Her dad Andy is her coach and along with her mom Jeanelle, they own M & M Gymnastics in Wisconsin. They operate the gym and train many different gymnasts full-time year-round.

The 2008 Olympics will be the first for Chellsie, who is proving what an athlete she is and not just another artistic gymnast. She was injured before the Olympic trials in 2004, making her an alternate to the 2004 Athens Olympic team. The following year she made a great comeback and was the All-Around gold medal at the World Championships in Australia in 2005. Chellsie elected not to be an NCAA collegiate athlete as her parents, allowing her to become a professional athlete.

Chellsie has two younger sisters who are also gymnasts and training to compete.
