In the tradition of the original Greeks, British athletes have gone sans clothing for Powerade. See photos and videos here.
The Olympians are part of an advertising campaign for the drink Powerade, which is the official energy drink of the Beijing Olympics. At first we thought this was a fundraising event for charity, but now we find out they were paid for taking their britches off. How naughty!
See British Olympians headed to the Beijing Olympics in all their glory here, including cycling hottie Rebecca Romero. Other athletes in the buff include Phillips Idowu and Gregor Tait. Tait is from Scotland so that explains everything.
Of course what is good for the Greeks must be good for the gander, as the old saying goes. In ancient times of yore buffed athletes were all the rage. They streaked around stadiums to the roar of approval from spectators who understood the entertainment value of an otherwise mundane athletic competition.
Some have argued that we should return to the glorious past of free living Olympians because au naturale is good for the human body. Others have wondered if the spectacle of seeing our athletes in the buff is not as shocking as it was ten years ago.
