Fallen Olympic track star Marion Jones has asked President Bush to commute her six month sentence.

It is unknown when Jones asked for the commutation, but the Justice Department did confirm today that she is one of hundreds of convicted felons who have applied for a presidential pardon or sentence commutation.

Jones all along maintained that she never used performance enhancing drugs, but last October, Jones finally admitted that she did lie to investigators in November 2003 regarding her drug use. She also lied about knowing about the stolen and forged checks scheme that Tim Montgomery (the father of one of her children) was involved in.

She was sentenced to six months in prison last January. In addition to her prison sentence, she must serve 400 hours of community service in the next two years following her release.
