Matilda Mecini, who represents the country of Albania at the 2008 Miss Universe pageant, is a basketball player and was the team captain for the professional basketball team, Tirana, when she was only 16 years old.

You can see Matilda compete in the Miss Universe pageant live from Nha Trang, Vietnam at the Crown Convention Center, shown in the U.S. on NBC at 9:00 PM EST. Jerry Springer and Mel B serve as hosts.

As a biography, Matilda Mecini was born on July 10, 1988 in Tirana, Albania. She is 20 years old. Matilda stands 5 feet 10 inches tall. This bombshell has blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Her first foray into the modeling world started when she was just a teenager and has worn fashions from designers such as Sherri Hill and Roberto Cavalli. She went on to model in England, France, Italy, and the U.S. She currently is a business manager at K Models in her native country of Albania. Matilda is fluent in Albanian, English, French and Italian.

In addition to her participation in the 2008 Miss Universe pageant, she compted at the Miss Tourism Queen pageant in 2006.

    I’m albanian ; I was really interested to see her be in the winning group but i really think the hair and her costume didn’t help her that much; in the oposite she looked like in the 80-90s and i guess it’s not to much her fault but the people working for her. Too bad that she had to represent our country like that and she is prety …
