Janet Evans is currently one of the celebrities starring on NBC’s Celebrity Circus. Each week, Janet and the other celebrity contestants – Christopher Knight, Antonio Sabato Jr., Blue Cantrell (voted off tonight), Rachel Hunter, Stacy Dash and Wee Man showcase their circus act skills in front of a live audience and are judged by experts familiar with the circus world. Ultimately the viewers at home call in and vote for their favorite celebrity circus performer.

As a biography, Janet Evans was born on August 28, 1971 in Placentia, California. She is 36 years old. She has been swimming since she was 2 years old. In 1987, at just 15 years old, she broke the world record in the 400, 800m and 1,500m freestyle. The following year, she competed at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and won the gold medal in the 400m individual medley. She went on to win the gold medal in the 400m freestyle and a gold in the 800m freestyle. During the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, she won gold in the 800m and won silver in the 400m. She did not medal in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, but for her, the highlight was carrying the Olympic torch and handing it over to boxing extraordinaire Muhammad Ali to light the cauldron.

Janet is married to her husband, Bill Wilson, and has a 19-month-old daughter.
