Vinny Del Negro: Chicago Bulls Head Coach

June 9, 2008

Meet Vinny Del Negro, former Assistant General Manager for the Phoenix Suns who has now been chosen as the Chicago Bulls head coach. See photos, video and read a biography of Vinny below.

What an interesting concept. The Bulls have chosen Vinny Del Negro as their head coach even though he has no coaching experience whatsoever. Egads. The Bulls even courted Phoenix Suns head coach Mike D’Antoni, but D’Antoni bolted and took the Knicks head coaching job instead. The Bulls were also in talks with Doug Collins, but his broadcasting duties with TNT were not finished and Collins eventually told chairman Jerry Reinsdorf on June 6th to continue his search for a head coach.

An official announcement will be made on Wednesday during a Chicago Bulls news conference.

How do you think this will pan out? Will Vinny bomb as a head coach?
