The son of late daredevil great Evel Knievel, Robbie Knievel, did his father proud today. He was successful in attempting to jump over 24 delivery trucks at Kings Island amusement park outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. See photos and video of the jump below.
Robbie “Kaptain” Knievel said he needed to be going at about 95 miles per hour in order to do the jump, and after jumping 200 feet and clearing the 24 delivery trucks, (Coke Zero trucks to be exact) the crowd went wild. This was the site of a similar jump his late father Evel Knievel did back in 1975. At that time, Evel jumped 115 feet over 14 buses to a nationwide televised audience. Evel died last year at the age of 69 after being in ill health the last several years of his life. Robbie dedicated the jump to his father, U.S. war vets, and those currently serving in the military.
The Knievel legacy lives on….
