Meet Jennifer Widerstrom, the newest American Gladiator known as Phoenix. See photos, video and a biography of Jennifer below.

Jennifer Widerstrom made her debut as Phoenix, the newest American Gladiator, in the Season 2 premiere episode earlier this evening.

Hulk Hogan, host of AG, spoke of the upcoming season:

“Season 2 of American Gladiators is going to be bigger and badder than before! We have new gladiators, new events and a new gladiator arena. All those gladiator maniacs out there are going to be blown away,” he said.

As a biography, Jennifer is 25 years old. She is from Lisle, Illinois. She attended Naperville North High School and competed in several gymnastic meets. She lettered all four years in track and gymnastics. She lettered two years in diving as well.

During her college years at the University of Kansas, she was a track and field star, whose specialty was the hammer throw. She was chosen first team Big 12 all conference for the years 2003 through 2005. She was also chosen to the conference’s all-academic team, and majored in Sports and Fitness Management. Jennifer is an NPC figure competitor and placed first in the figure tall class during the 2006 NPC Midwest Ironman Championships.
