Nuria Llagostera Vives is Spanish Tennis Champion

Five-time Fed Cup champions Spain secured a place in this year’s final thanks in part to Nuria Llagostera Vives‘ victory in the semifinals on Sunday. See photos, a video and a biography of her below.

Nuria Llagostera Vives plays for Spain and is a member of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She is known for a strong two-handed backhand.

Nuria Llagostera Vives was born on May 16, 1980 in Mallorca, Spain. She resides in Barcelona, Spain. She is 5′ 1 1/2″ tall and weights 117 pounds. Nuria’s parents are Jordi and Maria Llagostera. Jordi is a restaurant owner and Maria is retired. Both of her parents play tennis recreationally. Nuria’s favorite movie is ‘The Sixth Sense’, she likes to relax listening to music and reading. She admires her parents and enjoys soccer as well as tennis. She enjoys traveling and meeting new people.

She went pro in 1996. Nuria reached her career-high singles ranking as World Number 35 on June 6, 2005. During her career she has won two singles titles and one in doubles.
