The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his wife Candice Crawford have welcomed a son into the world. Crawford, according to E! Online, gave birth to a baby boy this past Monday at 5:30 PM.
Posted to the Cowboys Twitter account was the news that first time parents gave birth to Hawkins Crawford Romo weighing in at 8 lbs., 8 oz. Baby Hawkins measured 19 and ¾ inches long. It was also reported that both baby mom were doing well.
“Hawkins Crawford Romo is now a part of the Dallas Cowboys family,” the team’s spokesperson Rich Dalrymple said in a statement. “He came into this world on 4/9/12 at 5:30 p.m., 8 lbs. and 8 oz.”
Talking about Romo, Candace’s sibling, Chase Crawford of Gossip Girls, recently told US Weekly – “he’s over the moon excited about it. He’s just such a wonderful person, he was born ready to have a family. You know what I mean, so it makes perfect sense.” The couple first announced the news that they were expecting this past October after marrying last summer in May.
Good news keeps coming for number 9 of the Dallas Cowboys. Just last month Romo was praised by retired football star Troy Aikman, who stated that Romo was “already a better quarterback than I was.” Adding, “I know how quarterbacks are judged but as far as his play-making ability and the things that he is capable of doing, he is a far more athletic quarterback, capable of making more plays than I ever was able to. He has a good team around him and hopefully, and I believe this will happen, I believe that he will win a Super Bowl before he is done playing.”
