The soon to be ex-wife of Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is being courted to star in next season’s Basketball Wives. Producers apparently are ready to make Vanessa Bryant a monetary offer she simply can’t refuse. Will the beautiful brunette say yes?
The divorce isn’t even final yet and already the people behind VH1’s hit reality TV show “Basketball Wives” are just chomping at the bit to get Vanessa on the L.A. edition of the franchise. Would you want to see her on the show? I would! Come on now, we all want to see the major drama that she’ll bring and maybe we’ll even get a glimpse or two of her mansions! Yep, girlfriend scored big time from her divorce from Kobe, getting all three of the mansions she shared with her soon to be ex and her bank account is $75 million richer. I’d like to know what this supposed offer the folks over at VH1 plan to propose to her, it’s not like she needs the money any time soon.
A source told TMZ, “Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level.” Indeed.
BW had reportedly been interested in Vanessa in the past, but wouldn’t approach her while married to Kobe, with a source saying that Vanessa would not have been keen on the idea had she been asked previously. I am hoping that she agrees to appear on Basketball Wives, for sure a definite coup for the show if she accepts.
This would be a great way for Vanessa to make a name for herself outside of being known simply as Kobe Bryant’s wife. The two married in 2001 when she was just 19 years old. Together they have two daughters, Natalia, who is 9, and Gianna, who is 5. Bryant stood by her man when he was accused of rape in 2003, and just days before Kobe was to go on trial, the charges were dropped against him. During the ordeal, Kobe gave Vanessa an eight carat purple diamond ring, dubbed the “apology ring”. His subsequent alleged philandering behavior led to Vanessa finally filing for divorce last month.
Come on folks, let me know your thoughts about Vanessa Bryant appearing on Basketball Wives. Are you yay or nay on the idea?
