Gilbert Arenas and his estranged ex fiancée Laura Govan had a disagreement about her role in the television series Basketball Wives L.A. but it seemed they made a truce and Gilbert is finally giving her the green light on the show. I guess that also means she can say his name, unlike Royce Reed who couldn’t even mention Dwight Howard’s name. Laura can mention him for sure. Keep reading to know the rest of this story.
We are all aware of who Laura Govan is, right? Just in case you don’t know, she is the baby mama and ex-fiancée of the former Washington Wizards now Orlando Magic guard Gilbert Arenas, who she met 11 years ago. For years we have been hearing about their on-off relationship, they got engaged on September 21st, 2008. During their time together Laura and Gilbert had four children together, everything seemed okay between them but they split up. The ultimate scandal we heard about Ms.. Govan was when that alleged affair with Shaquille O’Neal came up, until this time nothing has been confirmed and she has denied it whenever she has been questioned about it.
Other times we have heard about Laura and her continuous child support drama with the NBA star, and then it came the time when he requested legal help to stop her from appearing on VH1’s show The Basketball Wives L.A., his reason? He said his and his family’s lives shouldn’t be displayed in the public eye plus even though she doesn’t mention his name “the very presence of defendant Govan and the title of the show is an obvious reference to his name”, but it seemed that even after he allegedly pulled all of his strings to prevent her from appearing in the show’s first season, the judge ruled against him.
So maybe Gilbert didn’t give her a green light to be in the show per-say, it was more that he was forced to do so which means Laura will be joining the rest of the BWLA’s cast that includes her sister Gloria Govan, who is currently engaged to Los Angeles Lakers’ Matt Barnes. Keep an eye on this lady and don’t miss the premiere of Basketball Wives L.A on VH1 this Monday August 29th at 8/7c. Until that day comes, here is a preview of the show’s trailer, I hope you all enjoy it!
