Say what? Simmah’ down Boris, simmah’ down! Following Marcos Ambrose’s win today at Watkins Glen, Boris Said and Greg Biffle were involved in a little skirmish. Arms were a swingin’ and Said had quite a few words to say about Biffle. You won’t believe what Said had to say about the whole scuffle. Or maybe we’re not so surprised, given the fact that he and Biffle have had issues in the past. That the two have strong dislike for each other is an understatement.
So what happened that led to Said spewing off about Biffle? According to Said, he told his spotter that he felt Biffle was racing him dirty and wanted to meet up with him after the race. Biffle was upset that Said collided with his teammate, David Ragan, in the final lap and in doing so Ragan met with the guardrail. Ragan went flying across the track and hit David Reutimann, whose car flipped and hit the tire barrier hard. Luckily no one was seriously injured. While Said did express remorse for hitting Ragan, he told ESPN:
“I’m more upset about Greg Biffle. He’s the most unprofessional little scaredy-cat I’ve ever seen in my life. He won’t even fight me like a man. So if somebody will text me his address, I’ll go visit him at his house and show him what he really needs. He needs a whooping, and I’m going to give it to him. He was flipping me off, giving me the finger, totally unprofessional, two laps down. He’s a chump.
I went over to go talk to him, he gets out and throws some little baby punches, I get out and he goes and hides behind some big guys, but he won’t hide from me for long. I won’t settle it out on the track, it’s not right to wreck cars, but he’ll show up at a race with a black eye one of these days. I’ll see him somewhere.”
Okay, I did find it kinda funny that Biffle ran behind some of his crew. You can see it in the video below. Anyways, Biffle did respond via Twitter, blaming Said for the collision.
“Let me tell u something Boris,”the roadcourse ringer” caused that wreck. He did the same thing to me earlier in the race off the carousel”
He also added:
“Then Mr. Class pulls in behind my truck after the race today?! Shouldn’t you go check on David & David? How unprofessional & disrespectful!”
So what happens now? Will NASCAR be handing out any penalties for what went down today? Apparently they are investigating so we shall see. Thoughts?
