Erin Phillips: Australian Basketball Player

Meet Erin Phillips, an Australian basketball player. See photos, video and a biography of Erin below.

Erin Phillips recently posed for some provocative photos for Alpha magazine, and the newly released photos have sent the tongues wagging. Ben Hawes, Basketball Australia spokesman, said:

“Any publicity for basketball is good publicity. We don’t think they’re too raunchy. There are a lot of other girls in other sports doing similar things.”

Erin and her Adelaide Lightning team won the WNBL title this year and Erin is said to be sick of “being pushed around by the might of the USA”. She told Alpha mag:

“We’re not going to be team USA’s little bitch. The World Champs definitely put us at the top, and other teams are respecting us a lot more. If I was the USA or Russia, I’d be worried.”

As a biography, Erin Phillips was born on May 19, 1985 in Melbourne. She grew up in Adelaide. Her father, Greg Phillips, was an Australian football star back in the 80′s.

Erin is part of the Adelaide Lightning team, and has garnered numerous awards along the way. She was named the Team MVP for the 2005-2006 season, has been named to the WNBL All Star Five, and was part of the 2006 Australian National team.

Erin was drafted by the Connecticut Sun in the 2005 WNBA Draft.
