Brooke Daniels, Miss Texas 2009 and former girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys star Roy Williams, has returned the $76,000 engagement ring to the NFL player. We’ve got the deets on the whole story here!
So here’s how the story goes…Brooke and her Cowboys player boyfriend had been dating for about a year when he mailed…yes, mailed…a videotaped proposal with the ring to her in February. Okay, really Roy? You want to propose to the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with and you do it by mailing her an engagement ring *and* videotape the proposal? Wrong. Soooo wrong. It makes for a very unromantic story to tell the family, your friends and children. Sorry, just a bit of a vent there. Anyways, he also allegedly sent her $5000 to go towards school and for some dental work to be done.
Daniels did not say yes to the marriage proposal but said yes to the ring. Daniels’ father reportedly told the Odessa American that Williams told Brooke:
“He said (to Brooke Daniels), ‘I’m not like a lot of people, I don’t want the ring back. You’ll eventually come back to me,’ ” Michael Daniels told the newspaper. “And she didn’t.”
Williams apparently wanted the ring back, after the two split – can’t say that I blame her after receiving a videotaped proposal and a ring in the mail – but affidavits stated that Daniels said she had lost the ring. No, the ring was not lost, Michael Daniels had the ring. He said that the ring was never lost and that he and his daughter never said it was. Are you confused yet? Sheesh! Williams sued to get it back.
So how does this story end? Daniels handed the ring over to Williams’ attorney yesterday in Houston, according to TMZ, who got the deets from the beauty queen’s mother. Wow, in Kardashian speak, this story is cray cray!!
