Chicken on a Chain is a World Finals Bull. See photos and video below.

You know, humans aren’t the only stars in sports. Bulls can be stars too, at least this bull is. Chicken on a Chain is the only five time winner of the Salem National Lease High Score Bull Award. He was the 2007 World Champion bull. He has been on the Built Ford Tough Series in 2005 and has only been ridden four times since. He’s a champion and a star! You can read his stats.

The Professional Bull Riders Enterprise Tour (PBR) is in the Von Braun Center in Birmingham, Alabama today (and yesterday) and big hopes are hanging on the performance of the champion bull. Chicken on a Chain is owned by comedian Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Robinson and Mike Tedesco. He is an American Bucking Bull and weights in a pretty close to 1,900 pounds. Winning the PBR will make Chicken the first bovine to be named the PBR World Champion Bull in consecutive years since Little Yellow Jacket earned the title three years in a row, 2002, 2003 and 2004.

The Professional Bull Riders event is nicknamed the ‘toughest sport on dirt’. The PBR describes the event like this:

“The rules are simple. Place a wiry 150-pound cowboy on the back of a hulking, snorting, temperamental 2,000 pound bull and see if he can ride the beast for an eternal eight seconds — with one hand strapped to the bull’s massive backside.”

The PBR World Finals will be held in Las Vegas where the World Champion will be decided.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!
