Jeremy Shockey might not be the best player in the NFL, but he’s a true gamer. Shockey is one of those guys that gives 110% throughout 100% of every game. Although Shockey has been battling an ankle injury since he was hurt during a week 16 game against New Orleans, and remained listed as “questionable? on the injury list until shortly before the wildcard game Sunday between the Giants and Eagles, Shockey brought his A game to the field, and fought through the pain.
The 6’-5? – 251 pound tight end from Ada, OK lost his helmet when he collided with Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Omar Gaither during the second quarter of tonight’s game, but not only did Shockey hold onto the ball, he kept digging for more yardage. The helmet flew off, and Shockey just lowered his shoulder and continued on until the play was over.
You have to admire Shockey’s desire to win.
