Meet Victoria Lindsay, the cheerleader who allegedly took a nasty beating from her friends, all to make a YouTube video. You can view the video here and see her photos.
Her name as well as the tape was released by the sheriff’s department, presumably to educate the public about this cheerleader beating and protect this from happening in your neighborhood. The names of all of the alleged juvenile attackers have also been printed in the media.
As an update, the latest news is that Dr. Phil is in hot water because his staff bailed out one of the accused teenagers from prison for $33,000. The bail was supposedly in exchange for Mercades Nichols agreeing to an exclusive interview on the Dr. Phil show. Ridiculous. The show has backtracked in the face of negative publicity.
As a biography, she is a 16-year old cheerleader who attends Mulberry High School in Lakeland, Florida. Although Lindsay is an honor student, she reportedly has some growing up problems. She was staying at the grandmother’s house of a friend rather than her parents at the time of the attack. Our comment section includes remarks by some girlfriends who know Ms. Lindsay.
Victoria’s cheerleader pals apparently decided it would be cool to post a violent YouTube video, so six of the girls supposedly cornered her in a friend’s house while two boys stood watch outside the house.
It appears from the video that they tried to coax Victoria Lindsay into a brawl so that the video would look like two girls fighting and nobody would know who started it. But that plan backfired because Victoria did not fight back. She covered her head with her hands while she was verbally assaulted and slowly beaten more aggressively as the altercation continued.
Her injuries include a concussion, lacerations, loss of hearing and blurry vision. She has still not recovered completely in the local hospital. She endured the attack for 35-minutes
These high school girls are probably going to have hell to pay. All six plus the boys have been arrested for various charges including aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and kidnapping. Despite how this looks, please remember that the girls are innocent until proven guilty.
Victoria’s parents have spoken out in a YouTube video you can watch here.
This is also my plug for martial arts. Although it would not have helped against six girls she clearly could have kicked the main instigator’s butt and it might have made the other girls think twice.
Women should not feel so helpless in a situation like this, which could have been a lot worse in a public park at night. Victoria Lindsay is thin and should have some tools available to defend herself in any situation. So go ask your mom to sign you up for a martial arts class today.
Unfortunately Victoria Lindsay’s alleged attackers addresses and phone numbers have been copied around on blogs and forums as well. We consider this an invasion of privacy and have removed at least two comments with phone numbers in our article just as fast as we can. In fact, some of the data that is being printed on the internet is wrong and has ended up tormenting at least once unrelated family. We had the eight names and removed them because of this reason, and we removed references to a blog purporting to be Mercedes Nichols blog because it may be faked.
The video is below with photos.

Susan Davis post – Yeah lets shut down Myspace and Youtube because it’s their fault, sure. Sounds like the same “Its video games fault” when I was a kid. How bout something called PARENTING! In stead of blaming Myspace and Youtube how bout blaming the parents for not taking an active role in their child’s online activities. Oh yeah Parents you can put a blocker on your computer for those sites, and most schools block them too.

This is wrong! We also have to find out what brand of camcorder it was coz that company is equaly responsible. Had there not been a solution to record that event, these brats would have never felt the urge to commit such a henious act of violence. There should be a statutory warning like “Video Recrding device – keep off from bully kidsâ€? written on all such devices. And we should have some kind of strong law in place to prevent such kind of event happening again in future.

This video is disturbing; however, something doesn’t add up here. I don’t think the “victim” is nearly as innocent as she’s being portrayed. You don’t get that many people that mad at you by being nice. It’s also “telling” that her own parents kicked her out of the house at age 16 and she was living with someone else. How do you “lure” someone to the house they live in? I think charges should be brought against the people who beat her up because they broke the law but Victoria is alive unlike that kid in Wisconsin whose parent’s let her die of diabetes cause they tried to pray her well instead of getting her to a doctor; they should be charged with murder. That was a whole lot worse than this cause that little girl is dead and her own stupid parents killed her. She died a long, slow horrible death but it’s not all over the news.

whats so stupid is that its over high school drama and a myspace comment. when these girls get older and hopefully some since they will look back on this in regret cause they are gonna go to jail for something that could of been handled in a different way. as a high school girl I know their are ways to make other teens feel completely low and embarassed without physically hurting them. I’m not saying that its right to bully verbally but victoria is obviously not completely innocent.

this is completely rediculous. i don’t think anyone, no matter who they are, deserve this kind of treatment. these girls that beat her should rot in hell.

No matter what was said by Victoria on her MySpace page…or elsewhere…NOTHING absolutely NOTHING ever will make it OK to physically beat someone.
Victoria, my heart goes out to you. Like others posted here, I too was stalked and slapped a few times by a fellow cheerleader. She claimed she was jealous that her best friend wanted to be friends with me too….(or something just as lame). Like Victoria, I did not fight back. These girls make me sick. They front all this power and aggression but really by not responding to them Victoria, you’re the powerful one. This video makes them look ridiculous for the whole world to see. And for the mother, you make me sick too. You should stay in your trailer. Hang Tuff Victoria.

i put up with a lot of bullying when i was in school, until i figured out that they had already decided to hurt me, so i might as well get my licks too. preferably before the other guy had a chance to. having said that, there is no way to excuse what those “girls” did. if they were all older, they would be charged with felony assault. how much time they did would depend on how good a lawyer they could afford, not just on the crime. as for the parents, i really want to know where they were, and just what they’re doing about this. if it were my daughter, and i wasn’t happy after the law got done, their fathers would need to get some protection.
