Meet Victoria Lindsay, the cheerleader who allegedly took a nasty beating from her friends, all to make a YouTube video. You can view the video here and see her photos.
Her name as well as the tape was released by the sheriff’s department, presumably to educate the public about this cheerleader beating and protect this from happening in your neighborhood. The names of all of the alleged juvenile attackers have also been printed in the media.
As an update, the latest news is that Dr. Phil is in hot water because his staff bailed out one of the accused teenagers from prison for $33,000. The bail was supposedly in exchange for Mercades Nichols agreeing to an exclusive interview on the Dr. Phil show. Ridiculous. The show has backtracked in the face of negative publicity.
As a biography, she is a 16-year old cheerleader who attends Mulberry High School in Lakeland, Florida. Although Lindsay is an honor student, she reportedly has some growing up problems. She was staying at the grandmother’s house of a friend rather than her parents at the time of the attack. Our comment section includes remarks by some girlfriends who know Ms. Lindsay.
Victoria’s cheerleader pals apparently decided it would be cool to post a violent YouTube video, so six of the girls supposedly cornered her in a friend’s house while two boys stood watch outside the house.
It appears from the video that they tried to coax Victoria Lindsay into a brawl so that the video would look like two girls fighting and nobody would know who started it. But that plan backfired because Victoria did not fight back. She covered her head with her hands while she was verbally assaulted and slowly beaten more aggressively as the altercation continued.
Her injuries include a concussion, lacerations, loss of hearing and blurry vision. She has still not recovered completely in the local hospital. She endured the attack for 35-minutes
These high school girls are probably going to have hell to pay. All six plus the boys have been arrested for various charges including aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and kidnapping. Despite how this looks, please remember that the girls are innocent until proven guilty.

This is also my plug for martial arts. Although it would not have helped against six girls she clearly could have kicked the main instigator’s butt and it might have made the other girls think twice.
Women should not feel so helpless in a situation like this, which could have been a lot worse in a public park at night. Victoria Lindsay is thin and should have some tools available to defend herself in any situation. So go ask your mom to sign you up for a martial arts class today.
Unfortunately Victoria Lindsay’s alleged attackers addresses and phone numbers have been copied around on blogs and forums as well. We consider this an invasion of privacy and have removed at least two comments with phone numbers in our article just as fast as we can. In fact, some of the data that is being printed on the internet is wrong and has ended up tormenting at least once unrelated family. We had the eight names and removed them because of this reason, and we removed references to a blog purporting to be Mercedes Nichols blog because it may be faked.

Whooa! This is really shocking. I’ve seen people been humilating in my life but not as close to this. This is really sad. I felt really sorry for the girl getting beat up.

Jail for life? Beaten to DEATH?!?! You are the sick people making these comments. You are all just as bad. I think it is just as horrible as everyone else does. However, I agree that this does happen everyday, all over the place, its just that this got media attention and thats why its so huge….. It starts out as… OMG 8 teens beat up another, when it turns out, those 2 guys had NOTHING to do with it, and their charges were dropped, along with another girl who was a friend of a girl that was there. Technically, there are only 2 girls that did any hitting or beating to Tori. The others are guilty of watching….. one is guilty of recording, and one is guilty of bringing the camera. The one girl doing the beating was only 14 yrs old. Now, if I go back 10yrs to highschool days, I remember how it was, you did anything to fit in, and its possible thats all that girl was doing, she is very young and hanging out with older girls. The “ringleader” of it seemed to be the Brittney girl in pink pants, and if you ask me, she should be in the most trouble. In highschool, I remember a fight where we knew it was going to happen (because, DUH—you always know when you have a friend that wants to fight someone) and we watched 2 girls beat up another girl, and a girl used MY camera to take pictures. I remember thinking nothing of it really at the time, but that was total immaturity…. obviously. Today, I would take back even being in that parking lot, as Im sure all these girls will regret this happening too. I truely feel that if you are honestly, and TRUELY sorry for something you have done, than the guilt you will always feel from it will be enough punishment. I dont think they were sorry yet at the time they were in the holding cell, and they MAY not be sorry today, but I bet they will be. Im am FAR from a bad, evil. etc person, very opposite actually, and would not have derserved to go to jail for being part of a fight I was involved in yrs ago…..so you all need to really think, and have a little compasion. Also, as one just said, do more research too, because there is alot more out there, and instead if just taking in what the news and media tell you, and wanting these kids to rott in prison, you may feel the way I do. I haven’t a clue why they named the Mercedes girl as the ringleader, because I dont see how she was, nor how they threw it out there as all these people against one, when it really was 2. As, a girl, trust me, we ALL get verbally abused in highschool. and yes, it sounds like Tori did ALOT of trash talking, and NO she did not deserve that, but I do think girls have got to be careful nowadays. As for it being on youtube….HELLO?!?! Youtube is better about deleting that stuff now, but back when this happened, had anyone seen ALL the fights on youtube??? School fights…kids!! Shoudl they all rott in prison, or get beat to death?
It will be interesting to see what comes of all of this, I know they have all been offered plea bargains, I just dont know what it was. I pray for each and every one of them……..! It will be interesting to hear what they have to say when the gag order is lifted also.

I’d just like to throw this out there, what these girls did to get “famous” got them famous, but am i the only one who feels like if i saw these girls in public, i would degrade them and insult them until they were cryin, they dont realize that now they are “Brittany spears on drugs” famous. No one in their right mind is ever gonna have anything nice to say to these girls again. Besides, how come girls dont realize yet that when they get in fights and sit there and talk crap, it makes them look nasty. lol thats not attractive at all, I think these girls should all be called Butch for the rest of their lives.

i think it is completely wrong what they did. i am only 11 years old, but i still cant believe it! i would never invite someone over to my house and beat them to uncounciousness!(i dont know how to spell) but as i was saying. and expecially if it was just because she took my botfriend.. ok? well… he likes her more than me, ok! that still doesnt make a point to beat her to death. i think teenage girls are just loosing their minds now!! whoever hasnt watched this needs to watch it and just cry for her. if i was older i would completely tell them how i feel, still unbelievable…
