Courtney Vandersloot: Gonzaga player reaches 2000 points, 1000 assists

Gonzaga’s women’s basketball team has many amazing players but one of them in particular became the first player in both genders to reach 2000 points, 100 assists in her career, her name is Courtney Vandersloot and she is amazing and gorgeous.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have Senior Courtney Vandersloot with her impressive basketball skills, her 2000 points and 1000 assists the first player in the women’s and men’s division. With that it granted her a standing ovation and the crowd screaming her name during Monday’s second round game against UCLA. The Bulldogs advanced to the Sweet 16 thanks to their players but mostly because of her, who on Monday scored 29 points and had 17 assists.

Ms. Vandrsloot is the daughter of Bill and Jan Vandersloot and was named the 2009 WCC Player of the Year and WCC Tournament MVP that same year she had the great honor to become the first Gonzaga player to get invited to the USA World University Games Team Trials; last year during her junior year she was named West Coast Conference Player of the Year, 2010 All-West Coast Conference, West Coast Conference Tournament Most Valuable, West Coast Conference Player of the Month (twice), West Coast Conference Player of the Week (4 times).

As a freshman she was named 2008 West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Year, WCC Player of the Week and got into the WCC All-Tournament squad and the same goes while she was at Kentwood High School, in 2007 she was named Named the Seattle Times, first-team All-State honoree, South Puget Sound League North Division MVP (also in 2006), 2007 State Player of the Year, state tournament Most Valuable Player and the 2007 Most Valuable Player of the Washington State Coaches Association.

With this impressive resume it is no surprise to her standing out the way she is right now and indeed it’s fabulous news to Courtney achieving her latest goal, amazing Congratulations!!! We are all very happy and proud of you!
