35 year old Sion Milosky a Kalaheo, Kauai native was a big waves surfer legend, a Pipe master, a 100% well grounded man, the kindest friend you could ever ask for, a terrific loving husband, caring father and wonderful brother. He loved surfing but his passion was his family – his lovely wife and their two young daughters. He enjoyed and cherished every second he spent with his girls. As his best friend, biggest fan and loving wife, Mrs. Milosky didn’t mind the fact when there were days when her loving hubby would take some time away from them and go surfing and she would take the girls to school, go to work and send him all her love, (He loved to ride the bike with them to school) she always gave him her unconditional support for the sport he loved so much.
Doing something that he loved, he lost his life on Wednesday March 16th, 2011 at Half Moon Bay, a couple of miles from San Francisco where the Jay At Mavericks Big Wave Invitational was being held. It was about 6:30 p.m when he was pulled down by two huge waves (60 feet tall) his friends and staff searched for him, they found his body in the water 20 minutes later about a mile away. Fear went through their minds mostly when they saw his lips were blue and his eyes were bloodshot. He received CPR for several minutes and blood came out of his mouth before he was taken to Seton Coastside Hospital in Moss Beach where he was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m, an autopsy will reveal his cause of death.
What can we tell you about the stunning, sweet and kind Mrs. Milosky is this.. Susan Olaes Milosky, aka Suzi, was born in Oahu, Hawaii. She is in the real estate business, when she is not working she can be found enjoying quality time with her family outdoors or surfing, playing tennis or volleyball.
Our heart is with her in this difficult time, back at home, Suzi, her girls, many fellow surfers, friends, family and fans gathered at the beach for a small memorial in her husband’s memory. Volcom, his newest sponsor opened a fund for Suzi’s daughters, the dear surfer’s Family Fund. You can see Mrs. Milosky’s daughters’ picture here.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sion Milosky’s wife, daughters, rest of his family and friends throughout this terrible time. Would you like to send her your condolences? You can see Suzi Milosky’s picture with her family in the video provided below.
