The Camp Nou’s capacity is up to 99,000 fans, Barcelona fans that come to see their team win over Arsenal. Last time these two giants met Arsenal defeated Barcelona 2-1 with goals from Van Persie and Andrei Arshavin, while David Villa el Guaje managed to score the one point for the Catalan team.

Barcelona has some amazing players on their squad, some only rely on Lio Messi, but let’s not forget the greatness of Villa, Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves, Milito and their amazing captain Carles Puyol, an injury (tendinitis) left Carles out of the last match and away from his role as captain, and Xavi covering for him, sadly Puyol still can’t play and Pique will be missing too. No he is not on a romantic getaway with Shakira but the yellow card that he received in his last match got him suspended, but Busquets in the center, Dani Alves and Abidal are strong and capable possibilities to take the place of these two missing players. M self… I am still hoping to see Milito on the starting team.

Like all Barcelona followers their players feel confident of their performance, even Mascherano is telling Arsenal to be aware of Messi, he will not be playing like he did the last time they saw each other, while Arsenal and their captain Cesc Fabregas are the least of their fellow Spanish players’ worries. I guess for him it must be a blend of emotions, playing against their friends at the same time his Arsenal teammates and fans expect so much from him, quite a burden he carries on his shoulders. Fabregas suffered a hamstring injury in their last match against Barca but all point out that he will be fit to play again, so will Jack Wilshere, who said their victory over Barca was the biggest moment of his career,Robin Van Persie, a strong key for Arsenal will also join the team, sadly Alex Song’s knee injury won’t let him play this time, Denilson or Diaby will be replacing him.

Here is the possible players squad for both teams.

Who will win this match? What are your predictions? I think Barcelona will win 3-2 over Arsenal, you?

Well looking into the first half of the game Barcelona had 68% possession of the ball while Arsenal had it for just 32%. The first yellow card came on the minute 16′ for Koscielny, Van Persie (45) got a yellow card so did Jack Wilshere (38) and Sagna (29) , On the minute 18 the Arsenal goalkeeper hurt his finger and Almunia is sent in his place, Mascherano slide kicking Wilshere on the way, but the referee said no foul was made, Jack was sent off the field so no more time is wasted.

5 minutes are added to the injury time, with a goal for Barcelona (45+3), a brilliant pass from Iniesta to Messi that went straight to the net and Guardiola celebrated without caring that he recently spent a couple of days at the hospital with back problems.

During the second half, we saw Barcelona totally in control of the ball, Messi unstoppable and the Camp Nou roars until a terrible mistake by Sergio Busquets who scored an own goal (52) putting the score board 1-1.

Robin Van Persie gets a red card on the minute 56 due to a second yellow card for kicking the ball after the offside whistle had been blown, did I mention the Camp Nou overflowing fans?? Can you imagine the noise? Can Robin hear that whistle?? A poor decision from the referee that left the Gunners with only 10 men on the field against a Barca that is ready to take the sour taste of their mouths after Busquets’ own goal.

An amazing play here between Iniesta who passed it to Xavi Hernandez the captain for the day due to Puyol’s absence and scored the second goal for his beloved team during the minute 69. The next minute a penalty shot is granted to Barcelona after Koscielny brought down Pedro, Messi is the man in charge to take the shot and he scored the third goal for the red-blue team.

Changes during this second half … Tomas Rosicky for Andrei Arshavin on the minute (74), Cesc Fabregas by Nicklas Bendtner (78), Ibrahim Afellay for David Villa (82), Seydou Keita for Javier Mascherano (88) and Maxwell for Adriano (90).

The match ended after 4 minutes in the injury time and the final score 3 Barcelona- 1 Arsenal.
