Olympic Cyclist Tammy Thomas, who’s career ended in 2002 for failing a urine test due to steriods, was convicted Friday by a Grand Jury in the ongoing Balco investigation. Thomas was charged with three counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice when she lied to a jury under oath about taking steroids. How can you not tell? Thomas, who has experienced male pattern baldness, chest and facial hair, lashed out at the jury yelling “Look me in the eye and tell me you meant what you did? while her verdict was read. The Cyclist’s Father who was also present for the reading became enraged as well yelling “They can’t do it”! Thomas is the first person to go to trial in the Balco trial. A sentencing date has been set for July 18th.
