During the Super Bowl, Eminem’s Chrysler 200 commercial debuted and it is pretty clear that all the stops were pulled out for this. If you missed it no worries you can watch the video of it below.
The Eminem Chrysler 200 Super Bowl commercial has people talking today. The two minute gritty footage of Detroit set to the rapper’s famous “Lose Yourself” was quite interesting in my book. The concept was different and cool all at the same time.
Some are calling the ad inspiring as the footage takes a look back at the Motor City as well as gives a glimpse of a future Detroit as the new car is introduced. Let’s face it the city has had its troubles the past couple of years but the ad shows it is not down and out. In fact after watching it I think it is safe to say that the footage shows the world a side of the city most would never think exists. Will this actually do anything in terms of revamping the image of Detroit? Well that remains to be seen but I tell you what I certainly saw the city where Motown was born in a different light.
I know there are some of you there who will disagree with me but I found the Eminem Chrysler 200 commercial moving. It was so not what I expected from the rapper at all. The part with him and the gospel choir was awesome. Most ads that air during the big game are forgettable at the very least but there are a few that stand out and I think this was one of them, plus the rapper looks fine! Those are my thoughts on one of the best ads of the evening but I want to know what you think about this hot topic. Did you like it, did you think it was boring, etc let me hear what you have to say.
