Super Bowl ads, commercials, whatever you want to call it, are all super great, super cool and sometimes rejected?? This is what happened to the Ashley Madison Affair site ad, as it got banned from airing during Super Bowl 2011, would you like to know why? We can tell you that and so much more so check out the rest of this football news and see the ad video so you can judge for yourself.
Well Ashley Madison is the online dating service that encourages people to cheat when they are already in a relationship, certainly this kind of propaganda isn’t the best message you want your children or partners to see on television, even less in an ad during the Super Bowl where billions of people are watching all over the world.
Hundreds of Sports WAGs have seen their homes broken apart after the infidelities of their husbands or boyfriends, the same goes to men watching their hot girlfriends sleeping with the first guy that is nice to them around the corner and/or in some cases with their best friend, (thinking of John Terry and Wayne Bridges). These shameful incidents are highly applauded by the affair website that was first founded on 2001.
The Super Bowl has previously rejected ads by the site, the first time was back during Super Bowl XLIII. NBC was just not into the “Life is Short, Have an Affair” motto and FOX isn’t either, which why is why their ad has been rejected once again, even more when they brought adult film actress Savanna Samson.
“its Standards and Practices division…deemed the Ashley Madison spot is not acceptable to air on FOX.”
The affair site tried their luck once again oin 2011 hoping that if they omitted their Life is short, Blah thing out it would grant their ad a spot in the Super Bowl but it didn’t. According to the site’s founder, Noel Biderman, Fox told him they would allow the ad this year, so he invested over a $100,000 in the spot just to get rejected until the last minute.
“When you have the reach that the Super Bowl does…I think you have an obligation to be a little more conscientious.”
So are you ready to see the Ashley Madison Super Bowl 2011 Ad? Do you think is was a good decision that it was rejected? Have a look at both commercials in the videos below.
