So the Super Bowl is coming this Sunday, February 6th, from Arlington, Texas where the Packers will face the Steelers at the new and beautiful Dallas Stadium, some of you might have the tremendous opportunity to see the game from there but there are other football fans that have been preparing for this incredible game at home.

If you are one of those, you sure want to live the Super Bowl experience to its core so what better way to do that than with recipes especially created for the Bowl, and by that we don’t mean a six pack of beer, pizza or a bucket of fried chicken, no way Jose we are going to enjoy the most delicious food by American tradition but upgraded! The best food ever!!!! Don’t worry about your diet for a day, these meals will happen once a year, enjoy it you deserve it!!

The Food Network teamed up with this year’s teams, creating recipes that are Green Bay Packer and Pittsburgh Steelers related like this delicious Steel City Potato Skins with sausage, here is the recipe.

(Depending on how many people are you preparing for)
*Large Potatoes, your choice of sausage but sauerkraut might work just great, sauteed onions and grated cheese. (sauteed onions are made by slicing the onions julienne, fry them in a pan with butter until they get that beautiful brown and soft consistency).
Basically take your potato skins previously baked so they will be all crispy, pour your onions, sausage and cheese on top, put them in the oven for 5 more minutes and serve!

For Packers fans we found this Wisconsin Beef and Cheddar Brats with Beer-Braised Onions.

*the ingredients are: 2 red onions, 8 dark rye sesame rolls, thinly sliced, 4 tablespoons butter, 1 yellow onion, 8 beef and Cheddar brats, 1 beer, stone ground mustard.

Fry the onions in oil until they get soft and add the beer, let it simmer for 10 minutes and remove from heat, then cook the brats in oil letting them cook for about 4 minutes on each side, when done serve in roasted sesame rolls with the mustard and your drunken beer onions.

We couldn’t leave out our delicious chicken wings but to add a twist we found this Engine-Revving Chicken Wings recipe, here is how to make these. Although I should mention these must be prepared a day before.

* Ingredients: chicken drummettes (depending on how many you are serving), garlic salt, butter, Original Bisquick mix, hot sauce, onion salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, Blue cheese dressing.

The preparation of these exquisite wings is to mix the garlic salt with your hot sauce until they are well mixed and cover the drummettes with them, you will need to keep them in your fridge for 24 hours, after that preheat your oven while you pour butter in a frying pan, with the cayenne pepper, pepper and the bisquick baking mix, then take your chicken wings (without the sauce you made the day before and where the wings have been in the fridge with), cover the chicken with your butter, pepper and biscuit mix and put them in the oven until they are brown and crispy (aprox. 20 minutes) and served them with your blue cheese dressing.

There are tons of Chili recipes, we couldn’t decide on just one so you can choose your favorite here.

Wanna have chips and salsa? Then try this Tomato Jalapeño Salsa. Broil and peeled tomatoes, Jalapeños, scallion and garlic, and the secret ingredient fresh mint, all these ingredients go into your food processor and then to your table. Then we have the Pepper jack-Pimiento-Cheese Dip. You’ll need grated pepper jack and cheddar cheese mixed with your diced pimientos, mayonnaise and sour cream. You can add garlic salt and hot sauce.

Check out these Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos! All you need is: Jalapenos, cut in half, shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese, already softened cream cheese, turkey sausage, minced garlic, onions, red bell pepper and about 1/4 cup of bread crumbs, oil.

Put your jalapeños in the oven for about 5-8 minutes and remove, then in a frying pan cook your onions and peppers in oil. When softened add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute, remove. Now cook your sausage, when ready let them cool and then mix those with the cream cheese and your shredded parmesan cheese.

This mixture will go inside your jalapeños. Then you will put the bread crumbs and the mozzarella cheese on top and place them in the oven for aprox. 8 minutes, then these babies are ready to served. Check out more Super Bowl recipes here and for a great selection of Super Bowl drinks click here.
