Do you know who is the rookie who just won a gold medal at the Winter X Games during the snowboarding slopestyle event? Well her name is Enni Rukajarvi also known as Enni Rukaj. We would like to take you on a little adventure into her life and career from her biography in our story and we will show you some of her best performances in the videos below.

Female Snowboarder

First of all, we would like to congratulate Enni on her gold medal at the Winter X Games while Jenny Jones won the silver medal and Jamie Anderson the bronze. Rookie or not she has been constantly been surprising everybody with awesome performances and incredible scores. It has been amazing seeing her dominate every TTR slopestyle event. Just last December she rocked at the Dew tour and before that she nailed it at the 3 star Oakley Girl Sessions event in April. You can see Enni Ruakajarvi’s photos here.

In November 2010 she ranked No. 1 in the TTR World rankings, earlier this month she took 1st place in La Milona, Spain during the 9th FIS Snowboard World Championships. It is pretty clear this girl is coming to reign the slopes, some are already calling her the Snowboarding Queen. With Enni’s medals and the rest of the other skiers from Finland, their country is in the first three spots at the medals table.

20 year old Enni Rukajarvi was born in Rukaj√§rvi in Ruka, Lapland, Finland. With the icy weather like they have in Ruka, skiing came pretty normal at age 7, she was already on her way but it wasn’t until age 10 that she started snowboarding. These days she resides in Kuusamo, Finland and practices at Vuokatti and Ruka. Her boyfriend is one constant support and company when she is riding, you did know she is dating fellow WX snowboarder Antti Autti right? They make a great couple.
