Brett Favre Retirement For Real?

January 17, 2011

Brett Favre retires for real. I know it is a headline we have read oh so many times before but there is new evidence that could mean that Favre is actually leaving the game this time. I have more on this hot topic, which includes some pictures and a video of Brett in all his glory for you to check out too.

Brett Favre Retires

CNN is reporting that Brett Favre’s official retirement papers have been filed with the NFL. If you are like me you are skeptical that the washed up quarterback is actually going to leave the game but the official filing of the papers does make me believe he might really do it this time.

That being said this is Favre we are talking about here. The guy has said he was quitting the sport that made him a star every year for like the past three years. Let’s face it though he had a rough last few games of the season and it was pretty clear to anyone who watches football it is time for Brett to go.

He even had this to say after his final game of the season.

I know it’s time, and that’s OK, it is. Again, I hold no regrets, and I can’t think of too many players offhand that can walk away and say that. Individually and from a team standpoint, it was way more than I ever dreamed of.”

Whatever you say Brett as long as you really mean it this time. I think it is safe to say everyone is sick of your crap. I will give credit where credit is due, Favre was an amazing player, legend if you will, but it is his actions the past few years that have left me with a sour taste in my mouth where he is concerned. I am not even talking about all the allegations against him either just his whole I am retiring, no I am not crap.

It looks like Brett Favre’s retirement may be for real this time. The official papers have been filed but does that actually mean that it will happen, we all know how he likes to change his mind in August.

Let me know what you think on the latest drama involving Favre.
