The Super Bowl 2011 will be on February 6th this year, and like many we can’t wait to hear the special guest performance during the Halftime show, another Rock Band? Nope, this year it’s the Black Eyed Peas’ turn, some feel they will Rock their bodies with their awesome songs, while others are absolutely disgusted by the NFL’s musical choice. Keep reading to know the latest updates on their performance, surprises and don’t miss the photos and their previous performance video at a Super Bowl after the jump.

On February 6th, at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, it will be the best two teams in the AFC and NFC at the 45th Bowl aka The Super Bowl 2011, but the Cowboys Stadium will also receive millions of fans that will enjoy the biggest Football Holiday with the performance by the Black Eyed Peas as the special musical guest to sing at the Halftime Show.

The musical guests that have performed in previous halftime shows is a show that fans consider to be “HUGE”, why? Well, it is Super Bowl night, the biggest and best football night of the year, certainly, and I gotta tell you if we take a look back we can see there were times when fans didn’t feel disappointed by these artists at the Halftime show, others… well you know that one.

From the time this great football event started 45 years ago in 1967 until 1990 fans saw mostly College Marching Bands and a few celebrities that stopped by but the following year in 1991 The New Kids on The Block were one of the best music bands, (Yes even if we don’t like to think about it), their performance was an evolutionary way for the Big Game organizers to prepare future halftime shows in the following years, for example Michael Jackson in SB XXVII, U2 in SB XXXVI (they made a special tribute to the 9/11 heroes), and for sure we can’t forget Janet Jackson’s exposed breast along side Justin Timberlake during SB XXXVIII, that was a tremendous shock for many merely for those in charge to choose the musical guests, right? After that we saw several Rock N’ Roll bands like last year we had The Who (OH OH, Yes I know!!), this year it is time for Will.I.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and the beautiful Fergie as the Black Eyed Peas will perform at the Super Bowl 2011 Halftime Show, very interesting….

The news that some said started as a rumor is no longer as it was announced since last year at SB 2010, the news was heard again in September as a good news to fans that felt so disappointed by previous music guests, once again at the Thanksgiving game in November when the Dallas Cowboys faced the New Orleans Saints the NFL confirmed the Black Eyed Peas’ performance.

Some felt uncertain whether the BEP were a good choice for a huge sports event, but these guys are no strangers to performing at Sports events, they performed at the Pre-game in 2005 in Jacksonville, last year at the 2010 World Cup Kick-off concert in South Africa and at the Grey cup in Calgary, but still some wonder if the Black Eyed Peas are an excellent choice to perform at Super Bowl 2011? Remember what Canadians felt after their performance at the Grey Cup, they sure weren’t too happy to see them shake their junk inside their trunks, what do you think? Pump it or not?

Make sure you come back on Super Bowl night, we will have the inside details about their performance and the video that wrote history, in the meantime enjoy speaking your mind about this news, tell us if you think it is a good or bad idea for the NFL to choose the BEP? Tell me who would you have chosen? Share with us your ideas on what songs do you think they would be singing? But don’t forget to check out the photos and video below.
