David Beckham once said he was not getting any tattoos on his chest because his mother didn’t like them, but on his Facebook profile he shared the news and uploaded a picture from his mobile where he is seen bare chested while getting his tattoo with his friends and over 6 million followers.
I want to let you all in on something. Just had a new tattoo done by the legendary Mark Mahoney. Took six hours!
In a second he got over 2,457 comments from his followers who expressed either their content about his new chest addition or telling him he has too many tattoos already, other sasked him about the design while others told him they loved him.
For the moment he hasn’t revealed what the design is of his new tattoo on his chest, but as soon as he does we will be the first to bring you the news, meanwhile let’s take a look into David Beckham’s other tattoos.
Less than a year ago we heard about one of his recent tattoos, one in January he got a tattoo on his right side it was a painting by Matthew R. Brooks called The Man In Sorrow, becoming this one his 17th body art and fourth Christian related tattoo (Crucifix on the back oh his neck, guardian angel off his back and another on his shoulder) he got it in memory of his grandfather Joe West who had passed away on December, 2009. Then on March he showed his 18th tattoo a beautiful replica of the 15th century painting by the Italian artist Francesco Francia on his left upper arm where we saw a Renaissance painting of Cupid carrying his wife Psyche to Heaven, Becks got a PG version since he asked the tattoo artist to cover Psyche’s nakedness.
The tattoo was believed to be another tribute to Victoria. See more of David Beckham’s tattoo collection and their meanings here. Becks’ tattooist in Manchester’s Middleton Studios is Louis Malloy, but today he turned to Hollywood tattoo artist Mark Mahoney, who had done tattoos for other famous celebrities like Angelina and Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Britney Spears, and Notorious B.I.G to name a few.
