March 30, 2008

Meet Mixed Martial Arts and boxer Erin Toughill. She has been chosen as one of the newest American Gladiators for its second season. See photos, video and a biography of Erin below.

As a biography, Erin Young Toughill was born on June 13, 1977 in Chicago, Illinois, which makes her 30 years old. She got her start in martial arts so that “she could have a positive outlet for her aggression” (according to her website).

**UPDATE 4/23/08** Evidently her husband felt her aggression as well, with TMZ reporting that Clark Bevans filed a restraining order against her last week.

She started kickboxing when she was 18 and then two years later took up Brazilian jiu jitsu.

In 1999, she got her start as a professional fighter, under the tutelage of Sean McCully from LA Boxing. Her mixed martial arts debut in competition was on Setembe 27, 1999 at the World Vale Tudo Championship 9 in Aruba. She debuted in the boxing ring on July 20, 2000.

Erin used to be married to fighter Clark Bevans. You can read more about Erin here or at her website at
