Looking to spice up your next night out with a little Hollywood glitz? Try ordering one of these cocktails named after celebrities to spice up your night! Be careful though: as the namesake of famous drinkers, some of these are borderline lethal! Get the full story, plus pictures and video below!
Whether ordering a round of drinks or looking for some novel party ideas, these recipes are sure to give your evening a fun twist. Kicking things off, it’s no surprise this young star has a beverage in her name!
The first of the cocktails named after celebrities has to be the Lindsay Lohan. Birds Cafe in Hollywood created this little number, which is a simple mix of vodka and olive juice, but jokingly warn their customers:
“Careful: two drinks can land you in jail and kill your career.”
Another actor famous for indulging is the polarizing Mel Gibson. It’s fitting then that The Plaza Hotel’s Oak Bar named his drink the “Bi-Polar Cocktail.” A stomach turning mix of Van Gogh vodka, Bols Genever Gin, Vermouth, club soda, and cocktail onion juice, this should put you in a raving drunken state in no time.
Looking for something a little more classy? Try the “Murricane” at New York’s “Anchor” bar. Dubbed with Bill Murray’s nickname given by Dan Aykroyd during Ghostbusters, the drink consists of bourbon shaken with basil, watermelon juice, elderflower liqueur and black pepper. For class with a little kick, go for the Meryl Streep. Simply chilled Goldschlager straight, this one is said to be named for the actress who spends her time collecting so much gold at award ceremonies.
Looking for some simple, home-made drinks? Look no farther than the Flava Flav. Peach vodka, sprite, and pineapple juice, this sweet mix might be more of a headache than it’s worth! Another option is the Paris Hilton. A classy mix of vodka and Mountain Dew, the drink doesn’t speak highly of it’s namesake.
Finally, if you’re feeling bold, go for the formidable “Crunk Juice,” named after Lil John’s 2004 album. A truly scary mix of Cognac and Crunk (an energy drink similar to Red Bull), try this at your own risk!
