Steven Pieper’s ex girlfriend was the 20 year old girl from Liverpool, New York, a junior ballet major student at Mercyhurst College who was reportedly missing on Thanksgiving by her family, she was last seen on November 19. Her lifeless body was found 8 days after covered with vegetation to prevent people from finding her. The body was taken to Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s office where an autopsy will reveal the cause of her death while Mr. Pieper, who dated her on/off was linked to her murder and arrested afterwards.
21 year old Steven M. Pieper lived at 8237 Coconut Tree Drive in Liverpool, New York had an on/off relationship with the young 20 year old for approximately 18 months. After one of their many breakups, a source said he tried to contact Watson, even on Facebook but she was avoiding him. The source also said that some of the problems during their relationship involved jealousy, but it is believed that Pieper really cared for her.
Because he visited his ex-girlfriend at her house on November 19, he was probably the last person to see her alive and the alleged main suspect of murder, Steven was arrested on Saturday November 27, 2010 after the remains of her body were found in a wooded area at Clay Central Park near Wetzel Road where her cell phone, the only item taken by her, showed last activity. He was transported to Clay Town Court where he was charged with second degree murder.
Steven Pieper pleaded not guilty to the charges upon him, didn’t give any information about the murder but did answer routine questions. Because of the severity of this case he is being held without bail, the district attorney said he would do all in his power to see that Steven does not get any bail at any time, he will be in court on December 3rd. William Fitzpatrick, Onondaga County District Attorney, said that when the girl ended their relationship just a month ago Steven was left clearly upset. The attorney added that he believed she was killed at her parents house, where Steven allegedly dragged her and dumped her at the park, allegedly in his black 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, Police are searching for his car and his ex-girlfriend’s cell phone.
“Our indication is Ms. Watson desired this relationship to end in early October … Apparently that message didn’t get through to Mr. Pieper,”
When searching for Pieper’s phone number there was nothing found, but they did find the number of a member of his family, It was found that he had a previously yet, minor encounter with the law, although it hasn’t been revealed what charge it was.
