Blame has a big title on his shoulders, not only is he the new 2010 Breeders Cup Classics Champion but he also is the horse that defeated the Queen, the oldest horse in the race and the only girl among this race that gathers together the crème de la crème horses speaking, no doubt that the Breeders Cup Classics had the finest horses worldwide, but it was 6 year old Zenyatta who had all the media, spectators and even the other jockeys’ attention and as close she got to win this race she can only blame those few inches between her and Blame.
Blame is a three year old colt mare by Liable (Bound, Damsire by Seeking Gold) and sire by Arch (Sharpqueen, Gransire by Kris S. who is also Zenyatta’s grandsire) from his breeder Claiborne Farm. Some of his best results are the Fayette Stakes at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky ridden by Jamie Theriot, the 2009 Clark Handicap ridden by Theriot at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2010 he started at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland at the The William Donald Schaefer Handicap ridden by Garrett Gomez, the The William Donald Schaefer Handicap at Churchill with Gomez, The Whitney Handicap at the Saratoga Race Course with Gomez and closing 2010 with the Breeders Cup where in just 2:02:28 on the clock he was the proud winner of the $5 million purse, now he has been called as next year’s Kentucky Derby favorite.
