On an update after the first races on Friday there was one event that was not expected to happened, that is the punches between Calvin Borel and Javier Castellano right after the Marathon Race, but Why? Borel said that Javier’s moved during the race put him in a very dangerous situation with Martin Garcia (Romp). When Borel (riding A. U. Miner) pointed his finger at him and boy he didn’t like it a bit. Castellano (Prince Will I Am) threw a punch at him turning Churchill Hills into a ring, it took several security officers to separate them and settle things down, minutes later Borel apologized and said that both cleared things up. Well as you all have seen we have new champions, that was for sure a great surprise for their owners , trainers, jockeys, but our heart was shattered to Zenyatta ending her career at 19-1, when for just 2 seconds and a nose she lost to Blame, still her performance was breath taking, there is no doubt that she still is the queen, she was the oldest and only girl at the Classics. And we talked about a movie deal, right? Yeap that was right it seems that Mine that Bird the 2009 Kentucky Derby Champion that ended 10th at this race had his trainer Chip Woolley fired and Wayne Lukas will trained him for now on, he is the center of attention of Dancing with Wolves director Jim Wilson who will start filming next February the movie about a horse (Mine that Bird) and our dear jockey/ boxer Calvin Borel.
