Newly married Laila Ali and her husband, former NFL player Curtis Conway announced to Essence Magazine that they are pregnant and she is due in the fall. See wedding photos of Laila below.
Laila Ali is pregnant with her first child
Laila, co-host of American Gladiators, and Curtis were married in July 2007 in Marina Del Rey, California. They had met two years ago through a mutual friend.
This is the first child for the two, but Curtis has three children from a previous marriage - twin boys Kelton and Cameron, who are 13, and daughter Leilani is 9.
Laila gushed to the mag about being pregnant:
“I don’t know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I’m excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created. I am 100 percent undeniably happy. I’ve never been able to say that before.”
Laila is quite the busy bee…she’ll be appearing at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards on March 29th and is a correspondent for “The Early Show” on CBS.
Congratulations Laila…I’m sure Grandpa Muhammad is thrilled!
