Admittedly more comfortable dog mushing or riding an off-road vehicle than sitting in a ‚Äústuffy‚ÄĚ office, the ‚ÄúSarah Palin‚Äôs Alaska‚ÄĚ trailer released this week proves just that. Find out more, and see pictures and videos of the former governor below!
Produced by ‚ÄúSurvivor‚ÄĚ administrator Mark Burnett, TLC‚Äôs eight week series is promised to be an intimate glimpse into the family life of the former half-term governor. The 30 second preview, which you can see in the video at the bottom of the page, does nothing to disprove that.
Debuting on November 14, TLC makes it very clear in the Sarah Palin’s Alaska trailer that the show is completely devoid of anything political.
“No lobbyists. Only one agenda. Family adventure. Step into Sarah’s backyard,‚ÄĚ says the video‚Äôs text.
What you will get is 8 hours of charming family camaraderie and stunning wilderness panorama, or cutsy blurbs and sub-par nature footage, depending on how you look at it. The former Republican VP hopeful admits on the show that she would much rather be outdoors if given the choice.
“I’d rather be doing this than in some stuffy old political office. I’d rather be out here being free.”
The comment pokes another hole in the GOP’s most renowned grass-roots candidate. Stepping down from her role as governor in July of last year, most speculated the move was made to focus on a 2012 bid for the Presidency.
However, giving a speech in California recently, the Thrilla from Wasilla was not able to lure recent Tea Party upstarts Meg Whitman or Carly Fiorina to her speech. Both women cancelled due to ‚Äėscheduling conflicts,‚Äô but most picture it as a snub. This inability for the GOP‚Äôs lead figures to unite under one banner hints at bigger problems down the road, leading into the 2012 elections. Still, the former governor doesn‚Äôt seem too concerned in her show‚Äôs preview.
“This is flippin’ fun…How come we can’t ever just be satisfied with tranquility?”
