Looks like the remake is a HIT! A few weeks ago the beach premiere was a success, and now there is more good news for Hawaii Five-0. Most DVR’s recorded the show for viewers to catch later. Well, more than ever before. For the full story, with more photos of the stars and videos from the show, keep reading.
Maybe Alex O’Loughlin was celebrating the success Aloha style in the photo above. His other co-stars Scott Caan and Daniel Dae Kim must be pretty happy with the reception their new spin on the old series as well.
The numbers are astounding! The show premiered on September 20th, and a total of 17.587 million people watched the show either that night or within a week. The 3.374 million that used their digital recorders is the most on record ever making Hawaii Five-0 the most DVR’ed series ever.
Fans of the original series that ran from 1968-80 have been anticipating the premiere for quite some time. The worry, however, is always that it won’t be as good as the first. This is no such case. Reviewers and viewers alike seem to be enjoying the 2010 version.
With things getting more and more high tech, there are all different kinds of ways to evaluate how well shows are doing. They had to revamp the system to include people who not only watch the show when it is on, but also those who record and watch it later. As time goes on we will see how the following goes, but as for now it is doing fantastically.
Did you see this coming for the new Hawaii Five-0? Most DVR’ed show in history! I really want to know what you think of redoing this classic show. Enjoy these pictures and videos then let me know all your thoughts on the show and the response.
