October 10, 2010

Have you met Linda Pizzuti or should I say Linda Henry? I think you have, she is Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC new owner John Henry’s beautiful wife and the mother of his child. Follow us to a journey into the fabulous life of this new Sports WAG and check out Linda’s photos on our amazing links and our video below–which is a must see.

Linda Pizzuti’s husband in one of Boston’s most powerful and successful men. He is a powerful name in baseball and now in English soccer, but for Linda he is her dear, kind, smart yet humble husband. There is no doubt that he is an outstanding business man, but sources also reveal his kindness and generosity. His Red Sox foundation helps millions every year.

61 year old Mr. Henry from Quincy, Illinois grew up in California due to his asthma condition, after high school he went to two colleges; the University of California was among those two. He never got to graduate because music crossed his path and he joined a rock n’ roll band. He started in the world of business when he began trading corn and beans. His first commodity broker JWH, was founded on 1981. His passion over baseball led him to becoming the owner of minor league teams. From 1999 to 2002 he was the Florida Marlins owner, in 2002 he teamed up with his dear and long time friend Tom Werner and together they became the owners of the Boston Red Sox. Together they created New England Sports Ventures and in 2004. On October 6th, 2010 after several attempts and continuous rejection from Liverpool, F.C his company’s offer finally got accepted and now he will be the sole owners of the English soccer team.

30 years old Linda Pizzuti is from Lynnfield, Massachusetts. She is the youngest of the three daughters of Italian emigrant Don Pizzuti and his lovely wife. Mr. Pizzuti arrived in New England when he was just a teenage boy. After intense hard work, he founded his own company where Linda became vice president. After high school she went to Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She has a masters degree in real state development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She graduated at 26 years old. She became involved in her family’s real state business–Pizzuti Family Development, Inc. Linda met her soon to be hubby on June 6, 2008 at the Library Hotel’s bar Alibi, where Linda and other friends were celebrating Harley Bilzerian’s 30th birthday. He was impressed by her beauty, but she was aware he was divorced, not to mention 29 years older. His family never approved of that so she kept her distance for a while. When they coincided at the same event on June 18th, they talked once again, but she was still cautions about him. She became interested when she found out how clever he was, but the night ended and they went different ways. Not long after, he surprised her with the most beautiful and honest email which she couldn’t ignore. After making up her mind that she would just be his friend, he won her heart, trust and respect. Add that to their same weakness for Italian food, and in the early months of 2009 it was announced that the couple got engaged. He actually proposed to her inside an elevator at the Four Seasons in New York. Their wedding day was scheduled for June, 2009.

And so it was onboard the Iroquois Henry’s awesome 164-foot yacht wearing a beautiful dress made by Boston’s designer Michael De Paulo, and surrounded by family and friends, that they tied the knot. The ceremony was followed by an incredible reception at the field in Fenway Park with music by Maroon 5. They went to Africa for their honeymoon, where they took time to learn about Africa’s misery and their people’s fight against AIDS.

Linda took over some missions of her own in collaboration with her hubby’s foundation, like when she and other Red Sox WAGS participated in a fashion show called ‘From Fenway to the Runway.’

Linda joined her hubby when the news about the Red Sox scholarship program in New Hampshire was released.

On April, 2010 it was announced that Linda Pizzuti Henry was expecting her first baby, second for her hubby. Their baby girl was born in September.
