Lindsay Vonn Is Ski World Cup Over All Win!

March 18, 2008

Meet Lindsey Vonn, the woman who took home the overall-win of the Ski World Cup. See her biography, photos here.

Lindsey Vonn is the professional skier who joins the men’s overall champion Bode Miller, as the first Americans to win both competitions since the 1983 season.

Lindsey Vonn was born Lindsay Kildow in St. Paul Minnesota. She was born on October 18 1984, which makes her 23 years old. She is a beautiful girl, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her measurements are unknown, but she is a knockout. She has been skiing since she was 2 and regularly traveled to Colorado to train. When she was just 14, Vonn became the first American to win at Italy’s Trofeo Topolino. She made her professional debut in the Alpine Skiing World Cup in 2000, and two years later she made her first Olympic team.

Lindsey Vonn went on to take many titles, including a silver medal in the Junior World Championship and six World Cup podiums. Her second Olympic games were a bit more challenging. While training for the downhill race on in Italy, Vonn tumbled and was evacuated by helicopter. Fortunately she walked away with just a bruised hip. She competed and finished eighth, but earned the U.S. Olympic Spirit Award.

This season turned out to be a life changing, amazing feat. She has set new records and is now the overall World Cup Title holder. She and men’s champ Bode Miller, are the first Americans to win both competitions since the 1983 season. She set a new time record for most downhill victories by an American with ten.

Lindsay is bound to set more records and be named as one of the world’s best skiers. See more photos and video of her below. I included the photos of her crash, so you can see just how lucky this girl is.
