Vincent D’Onofrio Returns for ‘Law & Order’ Final Season?

September 22, 2010

The hit show ‘Law & Order’ has its star power back! That’s right, Vincent D’Onofrio returns to the 10th season after a short hiatus. Catch the full story below, with more photos and videos!

That photo is crazy; he’ll need a haircut! Anyways, he has been with the show since it started in 2001, alongside co-star Kathryn Erbe, until this year. As we heard last year he would be exiting. It was sad to see him go, but apparently we will see him next season!

Speculation as to whether or not the 2011 season will mean the end of the epic show or not we will have to wait and see. However it seems we will at least get to see Vincent D’Onofrio return as Detective Robert Goren.

Pretty much exactly a year ago we first heard about the decision to change the cast. Though it has changed quite a bit since the first season, the main two actors have stayed the same. It seemed to be a mutual decision and he had a positive attitude about the whole thing.

“After eight seasons, and with the addition of Jeff Goldblum, now is the perfect time for me to explore other acting opportunities .… I wouldn’t be surprised if Goren pops up from time to time.”

As far as the big picture is concerned, it looks like the show will be coming to a close soon, and I think Goren needs to be a part of the ending and I’m glad he’ll be coming back.

“Only time will tell if this is a fond farewell or a renaissance for Detective Robert Goren but everyone both here and in New York is ecstatic about going back to work on a show that’s a passion for all of us.”

How do you think the show has been doing this year without him? Do they need Vincent D’Onofrio to return? Leave me your comments about the show below, after you check out these pictures and video of him on the show.

Heck yeah they need to bring him back. Some of us are Law & Order Criminal Intent fans. The Aimes & Goren stories are truly missed.

Finally! I hope they are ready to admit their mistake by trying to make Jeff Goldblum the star of the show. Whether D’Onfrio wanted to leave or not is irrevelent because his character was incredibly missed by the fans. However, it’s really only going to work if Kathryn Erbe comes along, too. They were a great team.

YEAH!!!!!! Thre is no one like him. His portrayal of Goren is so intense, I sit on the edge of my chair when he is on.

Ditto Julia! It was a huge mistake to let Vincent and Kathryn go. Even bigger to cast Jeff Goldblum. He ruined the show for me and I am sure lots of other viewers. Looking forward to Vincent’s return.

I am so glad to see that “Goren” is returning, It was a great story when he is on. Don’t much care for Jeff Goldblum, nor his portrayal of his “character” Hope it is here to stay. I love L&O CI, don’t watch now.

Oh most assuredly they both need to come back. I had quit watching because it held no further interest for me without him or Erbe. Please, please, please bring him back

I absolutey refused to watch the new series with Jeff G-not his fault-just a poor choice to get rid of the original actors. Yes they need him back!

I agree with you Kathy. Please bring back Kathryn Erbe as Eames. The two of them clicked for all this time. If the show should end completely let it be with Goren and Eames and the original head of the department and the DA.
