Matt Serra and Chris Lytle are set to fight at the UFC 119. Get the scoop along with video below.
Both Matt Serra and Chris Lytle are coming off of wins, so both of them will be entering the octagon with an extra pocketful of confidence. This is why I’m expecting this welterweight bout to be an all out war between these two fierce competitors, who, by the way, are also good friends. So get ready for UFC 119, because it is just around the corner!
Serra recently defeated Frank Trigg with a devastating 1st round TKO. This was a big win for “The Terror,” because in his previous fight he was owned by Ultimate Fighting Championship legend Matt Hughes. Lytle on the other hand is on a hot streak, and has won his last three fights.
Lytle commented about the upcoming bout, saying:
“I mean we don’t dislike each other. We are both friendly guys, but you know it’s the sport, and we’re going to try to be victories. That’s what you have to do.”
He went on to talk about the first matchup, saying:
“I didn’t fight the way I usually fight. I didn’t leave it all out there. It really didn’t do it for me. There is a spiritual part about fighting that was lacking in that fight, and I would like to correct that, you know?”
Serra also added his two cents:
“It’s 15 minutes of fighting. We’ll be cool afterwards, but we’re going to put on a hell of a show! We want fight of the night, and we’re going to throw caution to the wind.”
UFC 119 is set for September 25, and will take place at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
