Weird Al to Parody Lady Gaga?!

August 26, 2010

The crazy man that is known for his songs and controversial attitude may be looking to do something over the top. Is Weird All to parody Lady Gaga on his next album for real though? Find out all the details, including photos and video below.

Weird Al 1

His next CD has 9 numbers completed, but he is need of three more, according to Reuters. He has given us a sneak peek into some of the song including a “Whatever You Like” version. What did he think of doing a song like “Bad Romance” or “Telephone?”

He is currently in the middle of a Billboard Tour, but when reporters talked with him about his next project he let us know the status.

“I need to write three parodies. It’s tough because I’m waiting for the right idea to pop into my brain. It coincides with the right song coming out; a lot of tumblers need to fall into place. If I’m lucky I’ll knock ‘em out when I get off the road and have them out at the end of the year. If not, it’ll be next year some time, but I’m hoping sooner.”

Of course everyone wanted to know if Weird Al will parody Lady Gaga, who seems to be a “great candidate.” He agreed but said:

“I don’t want to give anything away. All you’ve got to do is look at the top of the Billboard charts; that’s what I’m looking at, too.”

There are a number of interesting things he could make fun of on his next album. And there are plenty of eligible musical acts as well as other circumstances that he could use as material. I personally think it would be a waste not to do something about the outrageous young singer.

Will you be picking up a copy of the new CD by Weird Al? Parodies of Lady Gaga may be included! Let me know your thoughts on the possibility after you check out these photos and a video of one of his songs.
