It looks like there may be another epic movie in the works, starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. ‘Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close,’ is a 2005 novel by Jonathan Safran Foer that is being turned into a heroic movie. Will the two mega stars work together? You can get the whole story, with photos and video, below.

This would be her first movie since the Oscar winner ‘The Blind Side.’ The subject matter of this film surrounds a boy post 9/11, who lost his father in the attacks. Preproduction has finally started and rumors of these two actors being involved are circulating.

This undertaking began a couple years ago when then rights to the story were sold to producers. Now Warner Bros. and Paramount studios are working together to make the film. As of now their hopes are set on acquiring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. ‘Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close’ is a big opportunity and they want to make sure all aspects are just the way they want them.

“The novel was a literary sensation when it was published and not the easiest film adaptation which is why it has taken so long. But it is superb subject matter for Bullock to potentially make her first project since winning the Oscar for The Blind Side.”

There is also some criticism regarding this being her comeback movie. We have seen other fantastic novels flop on the big screen. However, in my opinion, if they can get these big names to sign on people will flock to see it. Also, if by chance they get it out by next year around the 10th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks it would have to do well.

What do you think about the choice of celebrities to star in the drama? Will ‘Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close’ be Sandra Bullock’s next film? Check out these photos and video, and then leave me your comments on the project.
