As if things in her behavioral trial aren’t bad enough, now there are issues in Lindsay Lohan’s E-Trade lawsuit. She is accusing them of defamation and her case isn’t doing too well right now. Shocker! Continue for all the juicy details, with more photos and the video that caused the drama!
You can check out the commercial at the bottom, where Lilo states the use of her name, Lindsay, and making her a milk-a-holic is an obvious slam against her character. Well no big company is going to go down easily and they have already made big moves to win!
Lindsay Lohan’s E-Trade lawsuit is based on the fact that the actress and her lawyers state she has the same one name recognition as Oprah and they want $100 million for pain and suffering. They tried to have the court hearing in Nassau County, claiming that was her residence. However, the court disagreed and it will commence in the city where the company is headquartered.
“Plaintiff’s affidavit does not reveal anything about how the plaintiff divides the time between her residences or how long she spends at each residence, and thus this lack of proof is insufficient to show residence in Nassau County.”
I am not sure why that is so important, but it seems to be an obstacle, and not the only one. A couple months ago the exchange company filed for dismissal stating that the allegations were “meritless.” She was also just sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days probation after. If this suit is upheld, it might be on delay for a while.
What do you think of Lindsay Lohan’s E-Trade lawsuit? Does she have merit? And if so, is it likely she will get the desired outcome? Be sure to tell me what you think after you take a look at these pictures and a video of the commercial that is in question.
