Last Thursday there was a kerfuffle at the Apple store while people anxiously waited to purchase the iPhone 4. Now, Jason Bateman apologizes for upsetting those who got bumped and tries to clear up the mess. Keep reading for more details with photos and video.
The hot new item is the iPhone 4 and many celebrities want them, including the “Arrested Development” actor. Well he was in line like everyone else and paparazzi were allegedly going crazy and would not give the star a break. So then an employee escorted him out of line and away from the cameras. Then the “chaos” began!
A story that ran made way too big a deal out of what actually happened. Us Weekly said that people booed, hissed and freaked out. Well on Twitter Jason Bateman “apologizes” (more like clears the air) for the dilemma.
“There wasn’t one boo. Not one hiss,” Bateman said on Twitter. “The Apple guy brought me in away from the paparazzi. Period.”
Even with the story being discounted, people still wondered how he could actually bump the line. Now we hear that he even waited at the back of the line, just away from the onlookers. It was way more drama than he was hoping for and may reconsider doing something like this ever again!
“I was content in line. I wish I’d stayed.”
As if Hollywood doesn’t have enough drama, now we get stuff that probably never even happened! After his first update, the 41 year old finished by tweeting this:
“Correction- If there were boos, I didn’t hear them. If some were mad, I didn’t see them. I wish I had. If you’re out there, I’m sorry.”
What do you think about Jason Bateman apologizing for the incident? And do you think he actually did anything wrong? Let me know below after you check out these photos and video.
