Argentina’s great player now turned coach Diego Armanda Maradona wasn’t so confident about their rivals. Last time he faced South Korea was at the 1986 World Cup were he recalled that Koreans played Tae Kwon Do instead of Soccer with them.
But his boys help him regained trust and enjoyed one of the best games at the Cup so far. They dominated the game and played beautifully, but the game was full of goals, four for Argentina and only one slight mistake by Martin Demichelis–that was the way that Koreans scored their one goal on the 45 minute mark by Lee Chung-Yong.
Let’s review the best moments of this game. On the 15 minute mark it was Lio Messi who threw an awesome free kick that stopped into Park Chu Young and into the goal zone scoring the first goal for Argentina and the second own goal in South Africa.
The second one came on the 32 minute pass from Maxi Rodriguez then to Nicolas Burdesso (got in for Samuel’s place on the 22 minute) and on the head of Gonzalo Higuain who set the score 2-0.
On the 77 Minute it was Lio Messi who threw the ball near the goal zone, but it rebounded in Korea’s goalkeeper’s legs and smoothly by Gonzalo Higuain who did it again just three minutes later. The Final Score was 4-1. Argentina won with an impressive performance over a sadden South Korea.
