There are now about 15,000 toys associated with Elvis. Mr. Potato Head is the most recent to join the team! The Presley Estate has signed a deal with toy companies and will debut the spud soon. Continue for more details with some great photos and video.
Hasbro Inc. and PPW Toys are in the works to produce two versions of the popular toy in a rocking way. During his tribute week in August, the first toy will hit stores in the awesome jumpsuit, and the other will follow in time for Christmas. Many have high hopes for the new item and are anxiously anticipating its arrival.
January 2010 marks what would have been the 75th birthday for the legendary Elvis. Mr. Potato Head’s special toy is one of many ways he will be celebrated this year. The entertainment business wouldn’t be the same if we had never known the hip popping singer, and now we have this collector’s item to remember him.
Another aim of the companies is to branch out the singer’s fame to the younger generations who only know him from stories. What a pairing they came up with too! The infamous spud plaything and the “Heartbreak Hotel” singer are huge names and both have a large amount of admirers.
I personally can’t believe it’s been so long for either of these things. I will be very excited to see the rockin’ version of the toy, and I wonder if they will make a Priscilla edition as well? Other than the jumpsuit and guitar, there should be some cool accessories to go along with it!
What do you think of the latest tribute to Elvis? Mr. Potato Head (& maybe Mrs.??) will surely be a hot item this fall, in my opinion. Be sure to tell me what you think and check out these photos of some other versions and video.
