The 94th Indianapolis 500 is over and we are here to show you the results, so here they are! Plus don’t forget to take a look at the photos and video below.
The Indy 500 was full of surprises and very interesting people, from its beginning in 1911 it has been one of U.S’ most anticipated events, and this year was no exception.
What better than when you have legendary actor Jack Nicholson as an honorary starter, the gorgeous and talented singer Jewel to sing the national anthem, and Mark Wahlberg rode with Michael Andretti just before the pace car driven by ex ESPN reporter now Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts.
But the most anticipated moment was the drivers and this was their starting positions.

After you saw these position you’ll be surprised by the final results, certainly most people were hoping that 2009’s Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves won again, but Dario Franchetti was a dangerous rival, another driver that hoped to improve his second position he got last year was Dan Wheldon, so did he? Let’s check it out!

Sadly news about drivers in the last five positions, Davey Hamilton, Bruno Junqueira, Mario Moraes and John Andretti experienced some car trouble and left the race just a few laps after the Indy started, as for Raphael Matos who crashed as well, and the terrible crash between Mike Conway and Ryan Hunter Reay.
In the beginning of the final results the Indy Car Official showed different results in the drivers’ positions, like Danica Parick moved from fifth to sixth place, Scott Dixon from fourth to fifth, Alex Lloyd to fourth and Marco Andretti reached third place from his previous sixth and Simona De Silvestro in the 13th position. So what was the reason for this?
After the official reviewed the race’s video it was proven that in lap 199 it showed that M. Andretti was over passed by three cars.
So here you go the finals results of the Indy 500, I hope you had a great time like we did. Take a look at the photos and video below.
